Biography: Clayton Teet – "The Champ" Clayton Teet is a resilient entrepreneur, community leader, and devoted family man whose life philosophy is centered on a "champ" mindset: taking risks, outworking challenges, and maintaining a positive mental state. Born in 1984 and raised in a low-income complex in Scarborough, Toronto, Clayton was the eldest of three brothers raised by a hard-working single mother. This early environment forged his sense of responsibility and leadership.
Professional Journey: From Poker to Heavy Lifting Clayton’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged at age 19 when he founded the Ontario Poker Tour. Over seven years, he grew the business to 36 locations before it was ultimately shut down due to gaming regulations. Transitioning from cards to construction, Clayton spent a decade building high-rise skyscrapers in Toronto as a rebar worker. He takes immense pride in his contribution to the Toronto skyline, specifically a prominent building visible "bridge to bridge" near the CN Tower.

After years of physical toll—resulting in carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists—he shifted gears into the waste management and entertainment sectors. Today, Clayton owns and operates: Electronic Recycling Company: A successful venture that has earned nominations for business awards alongside major corporations. Rec Room Canada: A "rage room" venture where customers pay to smash recycled electronics, turning waste into a unique therapeutic experience.

Family and Personal Life Clayton’s personal life is defined by his "all-female" household. He met his wife in a quintessentially Clayton way: by throwing a football to her at a park (she threw a perfect spiral back). Together, they have four daughters: Alexis: His eldest, now 16, a volleyball player and high-achiever. Brooklyn & Brianna: Twins who appeared in the first season of The Handmaid’s Tale as infants. Kaylee: The youngest, whom he describes as the most spirited of the bunch. The family is rounded out by two hypoallergenic Samoyed dogs, Shadow and a second pup added on a whim one Mother's Day.

Passions: Fishing, Sports, and Resilience If Clayton has a true north, it is the water. An avid fisherman, he treats the sport as both a competition and a mental reset. His "Johnny Classic" trophy and "Johnny" belt are legendary fixtures in his social circle, awarded for the biggest catch. His highlights include: Landing an 8.5-foot and 9-foot Sturgeon on the Fraser River. Winning a trip to fish with TV legend Italo Labignan. Regularly competing in high-level baseball and Sunday morning hockey. Clayton’s resilience was famously tested during a trip to a Portuguese club where he entered a ring with a bull. Despite being tossed by the animal, he used the experience as a metaphor for life: no matter how hard you get hit, you keep going.

Rotary and Community Now a member of the Rotary Club, Clayton views the organization as a way to connect with like-minded individuals and give back to the community without the pressure of a "sales" environment. He remains a "Champ" not just in sports, but in his dedication to his brothers, his children, and his mindset.

George Sz also avid fisherman thanked Clayton and invited him on his annual trip to the Queen Charlotte islands.

Keith did the official thanks.
